About

Four rustic cabins (41, 42, 43, and 44) at Black Rock State Park, within walking distance of the beach and fishing pond. A 14-by-17-foot rustic cabin with two rooms, comfortably sleeping four (up to six), furnished with two sets of bunk beds plus one full-size bed - mattresses are provided, but bring your own linens and pillows. There's electric lighting but no running water, toilet, or shower inside; a bathroom and shower house are nearby. No cooking, open flames, or smoking are allowed inside the cabin, and the primary occupant must be at least 21. Cabin 44 is wheelchair accessible; the other three aren't. Black Rock's cabins are popular, and reservations are recommended well ahead. Pets aren't allowed in or at the cabin, even at parks where pets are welcome on the regular campsites.

Fees

$50/night for Connecticut residents, $60/night for non-residents, per the cabin's own published rate. A $50 refundable security deposit is due at check-in.

Cabins close for the season after Labor Day, even though the campground's own regular sites stay open into October. Early in the season (roughly through mid-June) cabins are available Friday-Saturday only with a 2-night minimum; from mid-June through Labor Day, any 2-night stay is allowed.
