About each unit

Cabins C-H · sleeps 6

Six of Hammonasset Beach State Park's eight rustic cabins, near Connecticut's largest public beach. A 14-by-17-foot rustic cabin with two rooms, comfortably sleeping four (up to six), furnished with two sets of bunk beds plus one full-size bed - mattresses are provided, but bring your own linens and pillows. There's electric lighting but no running water, toilet, or shower inside; a bathroom and shower house are nearby. No cooking, open flames, or smoking are allowed inside the cabin, and the primary occupant must be at least 21. Cabin H is wheelchair accessible; Cabins C, D, E, F, and G are not. Pets aren't allowed in or at the cabin, even at parks where pets are welcome on the regular campsites.

Poda & Podb · sleeps 6

Two of Hammonasset Beach State Park's eight rustic cabins, named PODA and PODB on the park's own site map - both wheelchair accessible, unlike the park's other six lettered cabins. Pets aren't allowed in or at the cabin, even at parks where pets are welcome on the regular campsites.

Fees

$70/night for Connecticut residents, $80/night for non-residents, per the cabin's own published rate. A $50 refundable security deposit is due at check-in.

Cabins can only be booked Sunday to Sunday, with a required 7-night minimum stay (14 nights maximum) - no shorter or midweek stay is available. The campground's own 2026 booking calendar runs into mid-October. Firepits aren't provided here but can be rented from the camp store, or you can bring your own (fires must be in a raised container - no ground fires).
