Eight of Stokes State Forest's ten cabins sit adjacent to Lake Ocquittunk in the Kittatinny Mountains near Branchville, each with a wood stove, two single beds and one double-deck bunk, a kitchen with hot and cold running water, a refrigerator and electric stove, and a half-bath with toilet and sink (no shower). Electric lights. Sleeps up to four. Bring your own sheets, towels, and cooking utensils - there's no coffee maker, toaster, or microwave.
Cabins may be booked year-round: a 2-night minimum applies outside the summer season, but a 7- or 14-night minimum applies from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day. Firewood isn't provided; it can be bought at the park office for $7 a bundle.
