About

Six canvas-sided yurts at Shawme Crowell State Forest near the Cape Cod Canal, each accommodating four to six people with bunk beds, a table, and chairs, plus access to water and electricity (the park notes electrical service isn't reliable enough for medical equipment). The yurts aren't heated, and a two-night minimum reservation applies throughout the camping season. All six are wheelchair accessible and sit near an accessible comfort station. Bring your own linens and cooking gear. Pets aren't allowed in Massachusetts DCR yurts or cabins statewide, even at parks where regular campsites allow pets.

Fees

The park's own live fee notice lists only its general campsite rate ($17/night MA resident, $54 non-resident), with no separate cabin/yurt rate - confirm the actual rate when you check availability and select dates. A $4.50 non-refundable reservation fee applies per booking, per Massachusetts DCR's statewide camping reservation policy.

This campground's live 2026 booking calendar runs from early May into late November - one of the longer yurt seasons in the Massachusetts DCR system - though the yurts themselves aren't heated, so late-season nights can be cold.
