About

Ten canvas-sided yurts at Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod - three in Area 1 and seven in Area 4 - each accommodating four to six people with bunk beds, a table, and chairs, plus access to water and electricity (the park notes electrical service isn't reliable enough for medical equipment). The yurts aren't heated. All ten are wheelchair accessible. Bring your own linens and cooking gear. Restrooms, hot showers, and a dumping station are shared with the main campground. Pets aren't allowed in Massachusetts DCR yurts or cabins statewide, even at parks where regular campsites allow pets.

Fees

The park's own live fee notice lists only its general campsite rate ($22/night MA resident, $70 non-resident, plus a $5/night non-resident surcharge), with no separate yurt rate - confirm the actual rate when you check availability. A $4.50 non-refundable reservation fee applies per booking, per Massachusetts DCR's statewide camping reservation policy.

This campground's live 2026 booking calendar runs mid-April through late October - one of the longest seasons of any Massachusetts DCR yurt campground - but the yurts themselves aren't heated, so shoulder-season nights can be cold.
