About
BLM campground. As one of the busiest recreation sites on the Deschutes Wild and Scenic River, Harpham Flat’s facilities accommodate tens of thousands of public lands visitors annually. Harpham Flat includes a 13-site campground and a busy boat launch. This bustling launch gets congested during peak staging and launching periods during the summer months. Overnighting oar boats land here as “splash and giggle” paddle rafts launch for day floats. A seasonally-staffed boater information station is located at the boat ramp.
Know Before You Go Harpham Flat Recreation Site is open year-round with 10 individual campsites, three group-use campsites four vault toilets and garbage service.
No drinking water or utility hookups are available.
No reservations are accepted; all campsites, are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
Lower Deschutes Boater Passes are required year-round, for both day and overnight use, for anyone using a watercraft or any other floating device as a means of transport on the Lower Deschutes River.
Limited cell phone service may be available.
Campfires and smoking are allowed only from October 16 through May 31, annually, unless posted otherwise.
