About each unit
Indian Cabins
Cook Forest's Indian Cabins sit behind the park office, near the children's fishing pond. They're part of the park's combined 20-unit rustic cabin inventory (shared with the separate River Cabins, along the Clarion River); the exact split between the two areas isn't published. Each has beds with mattresses, gas heat, a refrigerator, stove, table and chairs, and frost-free outdoor water faucets. Bedding, cookware, tableware, and firewood aren't provided; a shower house is nearby. Cabins sleep 4, 6, 8, or 10 depending on the specific unit. Rented by the week in summer, with shorter stays possible in spring and fall. Alcohol isn't permitted. Indian Cabin 8 is wheelchair accessible.
River Cabins
Cook Forest's River Cabins overlook the Clarion River, about a mile along River Road. They're part of the park's combined 20-unit rustic cabin inventory (shared with the separate Indian Cabins, near the park office); the exact split between the two areas isn't published. River Cabins 6 and 7 are wheelchair accessible; up to two dogs are allowed in River Cabins 7, 11, 12, 14, and 15 for a fee.
