About
Cottonwood Canyon State Park, a certified International Dark Sky Park along the John Day River, has four rustic cabins open year-round by reservation only. It's a rustic unit - bring your own bedding for the bunk bed/futon/double-bed combination inside, cooking isn't allowed inside, and the shared campground restroom and showers are a short walk away. Two are pet-friendly ($10/night fee, up to two pets). Unlike some rustic cabins elsewhere in the state, this park's own page confirms these cabins have both heat and air conditioning and are insulated for year-round stays.
