About each unit

Camper Cabins (21) · sleeps 6

Platte River State Park's 21 Camper Cabins (five named types - Whitetail, Goldenrod, Wild Strawberry, Red Cedar, and Wild Turkey) are the park's simplest, most economical lodging tier. Whitetail is a single open room sleeping 4; the others are two- or three-bedroom units sleeping 6. Each has a table and chairs, a refrigerator, bedding and towels, and a fire grate for outdoor cooking (no indoor stove) - all but Whitetail have air conditioning. Guests share a central shower and bathroom building rather than having a private bath. Open year-round, with discounted rates October through April.

Glamping Cabins (3) · sleeps 2

Platte River State Park has three glamping cabins with polished concrete floors, a raised stone fire pit, and large windows for a nature-immersive stay. Each has a queen bed with upgraded linens, a modern bathroom with a spacious shower, a kitchenette stocked with a complimentary s'mores kit, air conditioning and heat, and a deck with woodland views. A two-night minimum stay applies. Open year-round.

Mini-Lodge Cabins (2) · sleeps 8

Platte River State Park has two four-bedroom mini-lodge cabins, Bluebird and Cardinal, each sleeping up to 8 with a large kitchen and dining room, a dishwasher, two full bathrooms, and a fireplace. Open year-round.

Modern Cabins (21) · sleeps 6

Platte River State Park's 21 Modern Cabins (nine named types - Meadowlark, Owen Standard, Owen Deluxe, Blue Heron, Chokecherry Duplex, Golden Eagle, Cottonwood, Evergreen, and Bobwhite) range from a one-bedroom sleeping 2 up to a four-bedroom sleeping 8, each with a fully equipped kitchenette and its own bathroom. Open year-round, with discounted rates October through April.

Pawnee Tipi Village (4) · sleeps 8

Platte River State Park's Pawnee Tipi Village has four rustic tipis, each sleeping 6 to 8 on a platform floor with a fire ring and picnic table outside. There's no electricity, water, or bathroom in a tipi itself - bring your own sleeping bags or bedding, towels, soap, cooking utensils, and a cooler. The park's own materials list this as open year-round, despite the bare-bones setup - a real, directly-confirmed detail worth noting for anyone considering a winter stay.
