About

Missouri Headwaters State Park, at the confluence forming the Missouri River, offers a tipi rental alongside its 17-site campground. The park's own listing doesn't say how many tipis there are, or publish sleeping capacity, electricity, water, kitchen, or bathroom detail - call ahead to confirm what's actually available before booking.

Fees

Residents/pass holders $30/night ($26/night in the off-season, third Monday in September through third Thursday in May); nonresidents $42/night ($36/night off-season). Montana's day-use entrance fee also applies on top of the nightly rate: residents who pay the $9 state parks fee with vehicle registration owe nothing extra; nonresidents pay $8/vehicle or $4/walk-in per day (or a $50/year or $35/7-day pass). A 50% discount applies statewide to Montana-resident seniors (62+), veterans, and people with disabilities. Reservations open up to 3 months ahead; canceling before check-in carries a flat $10 fee.

Missouri Headwaters' own page states the park is open all year, and this is the general park-wide statement used here rather than one specific to the tipi - no separate tipi winter-closure note was found either confirming or contradicting it.
