About
Six Mini Cabins at Smallwood State Park on Mattawoman Creek near the Potomac River, individually named for local wildlife - Bass, Eagle, Heron, Osprey, Bluegill, and Wood Duck Cabin - sleeping four or six people depending on the unit. Four (Bass, Eagle, Osprey, Bluegill) are ADA-accessible; Heron and Wood Duck aren't. Five of the six (all but Bluegill) allow up to two pets. No smoking is allowed at any of the six. Maryland's live booking system doesn't confirm an in-cabin kitchen, bathroom, or heat/AC, so treat those as unconfirmed rather than assumed.
Fees
$50.50-$82.00 per night. Taxes and a per-booking reservation fee apply at checkout; Maryland Park Service's own cancellation policy confirms fees apply but doesn't publish one flat figure for a new booking, so no specific fee amount is stated here.
Open roughly April through late October each year, matching the park's campground season; closed for winter outside that window.
