Fourteen Deluxe Cabins at Tickfaw State Park along the Tickfaw River, each sleeping up to 8 people with 1 double bed, 2 bunk beds, and a sofa sleeper, with a porch for listening to the swamp at night. Basic cookware, dinnerware, towels, and linens are provided; bring your own food. Two of the 14 cabins are ADA compliant. Three of the 14 are pet-friendly (which specific cabins isn't published - ask when booking). This park separately offers 7 canvas glamping tents through a third-party operator (call 985-981-0907) - not included here since they don't book through Louisiana State Parks' own reservation system. $40 surcharge per dog, maximum 2 dogs per cabin, per Louisiana State Parks' own published pet policy.
Fees
$175.00-$262.50 per night plus tax. A $4.50 non-refundable fee is assessed on each reservation transaction (online, phone, or walk-in). Cabins and lodges check in at 3 p.m. and check out at 11 a.m. (different from this park's 2 p.m./1 p.m. campsite times), and an advance deposit equal to one night's stay is required.
This is a standing, year-round rental with no seasonal closure published. Louisiana State Parks doesn't publish a hurricane-season or storm-related closure policy for this unit either; call the park directly to confirm status during an active storm system before a trip.
