About
McCormick's Creek State Park's 16 cabins, at Indiana's first state park near Spencer, are part of Indiana DNR's statewide Family Cabins program (kitchen and modern private bathroom in every unit) and come in three types: Full Size Cabins (sleeps 6), the Centennial Cabin (sleeps 8, ADA accessible), and one ADA-accessible Cabin (site 007, sleeps 4). The park's own tent/RV campground has been closed indefinitely since a March 31, 2023 tornado, but the cabins are NOT part of that closure - they remain open and bookable, and the park itself, its nature center, and Canyon Inn are open for visitors. During June, July, and August, cabins must be booked for a full one- or two-week stay.
No season open/close dates are published, but the cabins are confirmed open and bookable year-round despite the park's separate, indefinite campground closure - see description.
