Beach Cottages

Thirty-seven individually named cottages and dormitory-style rooms in Crystal Cove State Park's restored 1930s-40s Historic District beach cottage colony, right on the sand in Orange County - among the most popular overnight stays in the California State Parks system. Units range from a two-person dorm room up to a nine-person cottage, and include several studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom cottages. The park's own page describes overnight rentals as “studios, one- and two-bedroom houses, and hostel-style dormitories” and notes that “prices for overnight rentals have been kept as low as possible to provide this fabulous beach experience to as many Californians as possible,” without publishing an exact nightly rate. Reservations open on ReserveCalifornia up to six months in advance and are highly competitive. Managed in partnership with the nonprofit Crystal Cove Conservancy.

A non-refundable $8.25 reservation fee applies per ReserveCalifornia transaction, on top of the nightly rate.
