About each unit

Cabins (Wheeler Dam Village)

Historic brick and wood-frame cabins built by the Tennessee Valley Authority starting in 1933 during construction of Wheeler Dam, in an area called Wheeler Dam Village on the south side of the Tennessee River near the dam, with access to both Wheeler and Wilson Lakes and a boat launch on site. Individual cabins accommodate 4 to 15 people depending on the cabin - the park's own page doesn't publish a single sleeps figure or a park-wide cabin total (pet-friendly cabin numbers go up to at least #30). All brick cabins have a working fireplace except Cabin #4 (firewood sold at the Cabin Office). Central heating and cooling throughout. Basic housekeeping and cooking supplies and linens are provided; each cabin has a TV with basic DirecTV. Dogs are allowed only in Cabins #3, #11, #20, and #30. This area is about 14 miles from the park's Lodge, campground, marina, and golf course. Cabins are not for weddings, parties, or gatherings.

Basic housekeeping and cooking supplies and linens are provided; TV with basic Dish Network. This cabin is pet-friendly ($30 per dog per night, credit card required on file).
