About

Sleeps up to 6, red cedar construction, 100 yards from the public dock in Taku Harbor, about 25 miles south of Juneau. Boat or float-plane access. Heated by a wood stove - only dead, already-downed wood may be collected nearby, so bring your own firewood if in doubt. Nearby stream water is non-potable and must be boiled or purified before use. Like every Alaska State Parks public-use cabin, it comes with wooden sleeping platforms, a table, and chairs or benches, plus a nearby outdoor latrine - no running water or indoor plumbing. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding, cooking stove and fuel, cookware and utensils, and a 9-volt battery for the smoke detector. A natural water source is usually nearby but must be purified before drinking.

Fees

$60/night (Alaska State Parks' own published cabin rate). Reserve America adds a non-refundable $5 transaction fee per booking (a $4 fee applies to date changes made at least 3 days before arrival).
