About

Sleeps up to 8 on saltwater at the tip of Seymour Canal, Admiralty Island - an area with one of the largest concentrations of nesting bald eagles anywhere, plus seals, sea lions, whales, and one of Southeast Alaska's largest brown bear populations (use extra caution in fall, when salmon are running nearby). Boat or float-plane access. Heated by a kerosene heater (bring your own fuel). Like every Alaska State Parks public-use cabin, it comes with wooden sleeping platforms, a table, and chairs or benches, plus a nearby outdoor latrine - no running water or indoor plumbing. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding, cooking stove and fuel, cookware and utensils, and a 9-volt battery for the smoke detector. A natural water source is usually nearby but must be purified before drinking.

Fees

$60/night (Alaska State Parks' own published cabin rate). Reserve America adds a non-refundable $5 transaction fee per booking (a $4 fee applies to date changes made at least 3 days before arrival).
