About each unit
Denali Cabin · sleeps 10
Sleeps up to 10 across a 12'x20' loft, a separate bedroom, and the main floor, at K'esugi Ken (Mile 135.4 Parks Hwy.). Drive-in or walk-in access. Built to ADA standards, with a combination door lock. Heated by a wood stove, with limited electricity for lighting - power outages are frequent here, so plan for backup lighting and cooking. During summer, the campground host's RV parking spot sits roughly 10 feet from this cabin. Like every Alaska State Parks public-use cabin, it comes with wooden sleeping platforms, a table, and chairs or benches, plus a nearby outdoor latrine - no running water or indoor plumbing. Bring your own sleeping bag or bedding, cooking stove and fuel, cookware and utensils, and a 9-volt battery for the smoke detector. A natural water source is usually nearby but must be purified before drinking.
Foraker Cabin · sleeps 4
A newer, 224-square-foot cabin at K'esugi Ken sleeping up to 4, with two bunks on the lower level and storage in an 8'x14' loft. Drive-in access in summer only; walk-in year-round. Heated by a wood stove (bring your own wood). Combination door lock. Hunter Cabin · sleeps 8
Sleeps up to 8, built in 2016 as part of the South Denali Project, within the Tent Campground loop at K'esugi Ken (Mile 135.4 Parks Hwy.). Drive-in or walk-in access; the loop road isn't plowed in winter, so cabin renters haul gear on an unmaintained winter trail for about 1/10 of a mile from the day-use parking area. Heated by a wood stove (bring your own wood; no mattresses, bedding, or cookware provided).
